While he had downloaded and gone through the files on Japanese culture before he’d gotten on the plane it hadn’t prepared him for everything. It was a little curious that Deckerd hadn’t had much to do with his training - or said more than two words to him - but Kodiak trusted that the Brave Detective was simply busy and would pick up working with him once he was up to speed. There was one small draw back to diving headfirst into the work and that was getting hit figuratively between the optics with culture shock. It made sense to him, he’d be up to speed on the differences between Canada and Japan’s police systems in fairly short order through the immersion. He was assigned to patrol with the team and learn the layout of the city and areas that the Brave Police regularly worked in. 3The day after he’d arrived, Kodiak was able to jump into the routine of the Japanese team.
